RASCALS lifesavers achieved some impressive results at the National Stillwater Championships, which were held at Millfield in Somerset on 6th and 7th February. There where only ten members of the RASCALS lifesaving squad that made the trip to Millfield, but between them they managed 28 top ten places, 13 podium finishes and seven 1st places.
Competing in the 'Youth' section were Anthony Mason, Jessica Cross, Jennie Lockwood, Kimberly Mason and Josie Lockwood, whilst Jason Lockwood, Matthew Cross, Jessica Lockwood, Hannah Cross and Fraser Crump competed in the 'Nipper' section.
In the Youth section; Jessica Cross achieved top six places in all here age group events, finishing 4th in the 100m Obstacles, 4th in the 50m Manikin carry, 5th in the 100m Manikin carry with fins, 2nd in the 100m Manikin tow with fins, 6th in the Rescue Medley and 5th in the Superlifesaver. Josie Lockwood also managed top six places in her age group events, finishing 6th in the 100m Obstacles, 1st in the 50m Manikin carry, 2nd in the 100m Manikin carry with fins, 4th in the 100m Manikin tow with fins, 1st in the Rescue Medley and 3rd in Superlifesaver. Jennie Lockwood was placed 5th in the 50m Manikin carry.
In the Nipper section; Jessica Lockwood achieved three 1st places in the 50m Obstacles, 50m Fins and 50m Manikin carry. Mathew Cross also managed two 1st places and a 3rd in the 50m Obstacles, 50m Manikin carry and 50m Fins. Jason Lockwood was placed 3rd in the 50m Obstacles, and Hannah Cross was placed 3rd in the 50m Manikin carry.

RASCALS lifesavers will also be in action later this month when they compete at the National Lifesaving Speed Events at Ponds Forge, Sheffield, attracting competitors from the United Kingdom and Ireland.
