During the first three weekends in March, 29 RASCAL's swimmers (16 Girls and 13 Boys) travelled to Eckington and Derby where they competed in the Derbyshire ASA County Championships, producing some impressive results. From the 226 entered events, there were; 177 Personnel Best times (PBs), 66 top six places, 25 First Places, 10 Swimmers in the Top 10 BAGCATAS (British Age Group Categories), 18 new club records, 13 Midlands qualifying times and 1 National qualifying time.

RASCALS squad included; Fearn Middleton, Laura Magill, Olivia Broughton, Melissa Coulton, Jessica Lockwood, Fern Jackson, Vicky Threlfall, Susannah Allsop, Jessica Guest, Hannah Cross, Hannah Jones, Molly Renshaw, Abigail Hall, Jessica Cross, Louise Ratcliffe, Amber Jackson, Tom Oates, James Steeples, Jamie Ingram, George Spendlove, Frazer Crump, Edward Borysiak, Josh Bee-Tong, Sam Oates, Adam Thelfall, Xander Parr, Dom Bestwick, Matt Willgoose, James Fern.

RASCALS swimmers finishing in the top 10 in the full BAGCATS were:

• Jamie Ingram (10 yrs) 3rd
• Dom Bestwick (13 yrs) 4th
• Laura Magill (9 yrs) 5th
• Fearn Middleton (9 yrs) 6th
• Edward Borysiak (11 yrs) 7th
• Jessica Lockwood (10 yrs) 8th
• Jessica Cross (13 yrs) 9th
• Josh Bee Tong (12 yrs) 10th

• Hannah Jones (11 yrs) for the 3rd consecutive year
• Molly Renshaw (12 yrs) for 4th consecutive year

There were also some special achievements from RASCALS swimmers; Molly Renshaw achieved 1 National and 8 Midland qualifying times along with 13 new club records; Hannah Jones achieved 3 midland qualifying times and 1 new club record; Edward Borysiak achieved 2 Midland qualifying times and 2 new club records; with Sam Oates and Jessica Cross setting 1 new club record each.

Well done to all competing RASCALS simmers, particularly the younger swimmers entering their very first Derbyshire County Championships.
